What is NeuroMovement® ?
The brain is involved in everything. But how does your brain learn to do what it does? The brain constantly receives and integrates billions of pieces of information. This is how babies and children learn anything. Billions of neurons connect and patterns are created that pretty much make us the creatures of habit that we are.

To change anything, the brain needs to learn something new, to create a new pattern. For that, it needs new, better, richer information. Neuromovement® gives your child's brain new and richer information so that it can do its job better.
Neuromovement ® is a neuro-somatic approach that involves deliberate, conscious, slow and varied natural movements that your child does with the help of a practitioner. This increases the brain"s ability to distinguish signals, differentiate, and organize itself for growth and learning. Most kids experience this as: improvements in mobility and motor function (gross and fine motor skills), improvements in brain function (e.g. memory, prediction, attention, language, learning), and better processing of emotions.
Because NeuroMovement® works diretly with your child's nervous system, kids often experience better regulation. Emotions are also movements of thought in our brains. We store stress, trauma, heartache and emotional issues in our bodies as much as in our brains. Your child is a whole person who is not reduced to their disabilities, and the two elements cannot be untied.
I created NeuroSomatic Kids so families like mine can get help - to support our special needs children (and ourselves as parents) in a holistic way that supports learning and better outcomes for the entire family.
